RESHMA GAJJAR-Performing Artist-NYC / LA
Build a community of people you love & trust, because community is really what holds you
Hi there, if you’re new here welcome! The goal of PROCESSED, is to explore different tools for maintaining a creative practice / career in a healthy and sustainable way.
This summer I was in NYC and I got to hang with Reshma Gajjar for an afternoon. I shot portraits, made a video and conducted this interview .
Reshma is a truly impressive human in so many ways. She’s the epitome of a multi-hyphenate. She spent years touring the world, dancing for Madonna, Ricky Martin, and working with artists like Adele, Dua Lipa and Charli XCX.
Reshma works as a dancer, actor and movement director. If you saw “La La Land” it was impossible to miss her iconic song and dance number opening the movie, after which The New York Times nicknamed her “ingenue in the yellow dress”
DK: What are you working on right now?
RG: Currently, I am living the dream of bicoastal life between LA and New York City to build / create the first iteration of Life and Trust , an immersive theater show from the same producers of Sleep No More. It's off, off-Broadway and really unique and cool. I am the original cast and also have the unique opportunity to create / co-choreograph my role in the show.
